When we search the words in google, it will show related words about what we typing in below list.
We will type half only, the remaining words will be appear in below list..
KEYWORD:
The below listed words will be created by SEO executive. These words are called keywords.
EXAMPLE OF KEYWORD:
Lets take a example when we type "NEW" in google , it will show what are the words related to "NEW" in google. This "NEW" is a keyword.
SEED KEYWORD:
The words related to "NEW" such as
1) news
2) new york
3) news google
are seed keywords.......
When the SEO executive use the right keyword and seed keyword then there is more possibility that the users visit your website soon......
This leads to traffic towards your website. We need to analyze the competition of the keywords and use the low competition keywords so that the traffic towards our website will be more....

what are the keywords the user use and the level of competition towards the keyword......

Types of Keyword:
Basically there are 4 types of keyword:

1) Informational keyword
2) Commercial keyword
3) Transactional keyword
4) Navigational keyword

Based on specificity and search volume ,keywords are classified into 3:
1) Short tail keyword
2) Mid tail keyword
3) Long tail keyword
Now let's see what are the definitions of these keywords:
1) Short tail keyword:
in this keyword, the user search only one word or two word. It has a high competition. It is difficult to get the traffic towards your website by using short tail keyword
EX: t-shirt
2) Mid tail keyword:
In this keyword, the user search will be between 2-3 words. it is the extensive version of short tail keyword. there may be a possibility the user might visit your website.
EX: t-shirt for men
3)Long tail keyword:
In this keyword, the user search will be more ellaborate. They search very specific. When the SEO executive find the long tail keyword the user search in search engine.
Then this leads to increase in traffic towards your website. and the competition of this keyword is very low....
EX: t-shirt for men under Rs.200
